Decade - 1970's

Paintings done at this time continued investigation into technological developments but from a more pessimistic point of view, also projected future development and environmental issues were further concerns. The 'Colour Structure' paintings were about architectural colour and possible directions in city planning with references to the building of minimalist structures on a vast scale.

The 'Gum Tree' works were an attempt to reinvent an old cliche and become involved with Australian concepts.
