Decade - 1980's As part of the work of the eighties 'The Rocks' continued the Australian identity imagery using a reasonably objective point of view which later became more symbolic. A series of large paintings using handground ochres extended the exploration of ideas about the Asia-Pacific region, integration of figure and landscape and thoughts about indigenous and introduced cultures. - Ian Chandler |
